Since Ink demanded that I post more I decided to go with this piece since I'm sure no one is interested in my sketchbook doodlings that look like a 5 yr old drew them.

I do one of these every 2 years or so and never finish them. It's what I lovingly refer to as my Ultimate Justice League Unlimited. I go through and pick all the characters that I want in the JLA and redesign them. This one consists of analogues for the Ultimates and New Avengers (If you look closely you'll notice the unintelligable scribblings of a Batwoman character in the upper left corner that resembles SpiderWoman). There were 28 characters in all and the peice measured 9x23.

Eventually, as with every time I try to tackle one of these, I get frustrated by the amount of mistakes on the peice and end up hating the designs as I inevitably come up with much better ones once I've laid down the ink. I usually have a lot of fun prior to that though as I think up concepts on how to make everything work and scribble down copius notes on how I'd make the universe gel. Came up with quite a bit of fun concepts as I was working on this that I'd one day like to throw into an Elseworlds story If I ever get the chance. It would be an epic Ultimate JLU Crisis type thing and would have to be huge. I even came up with some JSA, Titans, and Challengers of the Unknown concepts while doing it. The JSA would fall more in line with "The Liberty Files" and COTU would take some cues from the FF.

And yes, that's how I work...I know, I know, I should finish the pencils before moving on to inks. I just get so bored so quickly...
